DIY Fabric Refresher Spray (video)

I’m just going to go ahead and start this DIY off by stating the obvious for each of you: I live in a stinky farmhouse.  Pigs and turkeys (especially turkeys!) stink.  While I understand that this is not a huge surprise to many of you, I thought it was best I begin with some honesty, my house does not naturally smell like roses.  Because of this there is a lot of linen spray and room refresher spray used in this household.  Now, I don’t know about you, but sometimes those bottles of room spray are just too overwhelmingly strong.  Add to that the cost of the spray, how much we can go through in this stinky farmhouse, and the unknown of just what is in that bottle, and I decided it was time to make my own room refresher spray.  This bottle of DIY fabric refresher spray took me less than 5 minutes to make and will last me a long time!  Check out how quick and easy this is in the video, and the simple steps spelled out below.

To create your own diy fabric refresher spray you will need:

A glass bottle with spray top (*affiliate link)

2 or 3 of your favorite essential oils.  (I used Purification, Lavender and Cedarwood.)

1/2 cup of baking soda

2 cups of distilled water

funnel

Tips:  Remember to shake before each use, and always test on a small spot of your fabric first before spraying the entire surface.

What other essential oil combinations do you love?  Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Lavender and Orange
  • Lavender, Cedarwood and Purification
  • Citrus Fresh and Purification
  • Lime, Tangerine and Purification
