So I guess I’ve been on an arrow streak this Valentine’s Day! The mini arrow garland was a huge hit and so I just couldn’t help myself and created a few more arrows for our decor. 4 supplies (and some hair spray) and you can create these arrows for your own home Valentine’s Day decor.
- Glitter Scrapbook Paper (I picked mine up at Michaels.)
- Hair Spray
- Mod Podge
- Wooden Dowels (I used this size.)

step 1. Add a light layer of hair spray to your glitter scrapbook paper before beginning. Allow to dry. This will keep the glitter from coming off of the paper as you cut and bend the paper.
step 2. Cut two identical triangles from the paper. Apply a layer of mod podge to the backside of both triangles. Place them near the end of the dowel and press down firmly. Hold for a minute or two, until the paper sticks together on its own.
step 3. Cut out a feather shape from a piece of the paper, I used a different color of paper for the feather. When cutting out the feather I added a little tab to the base of the feather (this will be used to secure the feather to the wooden dowel). Cut out a matching feather and glue to the backside with mod podge. Note: you do not need the second feather to have the tab, which you can see in the picture below.
step 4. To secure the feather to the arrow you will need to apply a small amount of mod podge to the tab of the feather. Wrap it around the end of the dowel and hold in place for about 2 minutes. After the feather is in place you can wrap a small amount of twine around the feather and secure it in place with a knot.
With these four steps you are done! Repeat to create a few arrows and enjoy displaying them in your home for Valentine’s Day.
Happy creating friends,
