Mini Arrow Garland

Valentine’s Day seems to be the holiday that always puts me into the crafting mood.  I think it has something to do with the fresh start that comes after the New Year.  Projects like this heart art is one my girls ask to recreate each year!  Today’s project is creating a mini arrow garland that is perfect for a window sill, mantle, or stair rail.  Let’s take a look at the easy steps to create this garland.

I love the beautiful colors of felt on this garland with the glam of gold added in.

To begin you will need:

Cut out small templates for the arrow heads and feathers from a piece of paper.  Trace the shape onto the felt, two arrow heads, and two feathers for each mini arrow.

Cut out the pieces of felt for each arrow and use the hot glue to secure them onto each end of the mini dowel.  Cut little slits at the end of the felt to fringe the feathers.

Next you can give the arrows a little bit of sparkle with some glitter.  Spread a small amount of hot glue onto the area where you want the glitter to stick and added the glitter to the felt.  You can also use some thin rose gold ribbon, and wrap it around the arrows, securing with a small knot.

After creating a few arrows (I made 10) tie them onto a long piece of twine to create the garland.

Like I said earlier: Love, love, love the way this adorable garland turned out!  This one will be around past Valentine’s Day!
