Welcome Summer Tags

The weather in Iowa this month has been less than stellar.  As in, we are wearing layers of sweaters, turning on the heat, and not sure what season this is!  With Memorial Day a couple of days away, and schools about to let out for the summer, I decided to do something to help us all get excited for summer.  {Because the summer weather will eventually come!  I have faith it will happen!}

I picked up a few things at the store that my kids use each summer – this way I know they will be excited for summer when they see what is inside.  To top it off I labeled the gift bag with this Welcome Summer tag, something I am sharing with all of you today!

It took me approximately 25 seconds to complete, about all the extra time I have at the end of the school year.  The best part is that I didn’t buy anything that I wouldn’t already pick up over the summer, so no special, extravagant purchases.  Just basic items that I know they will use outside over the summer break.  How fun will these be to give my kids over Memorial Day weekend?

If you are unsure of what to put in the bags here are a few ideas that will help spark activity and imaginations this summer:

I hope you will be enjoying a great weekend with family, the beginning of summer, and most importantly pausing to remember those who have died serving our country.

p.s.  Do yoy know another fun way to use this tag!?  How about attached to a small thank you gift for the teacher at the end of the year!
